Arts on the Avenue Tahlequah
The Tahlequah City of Firsts organization is presenting Arts on the Avenue on Friday, June 7th from 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday, June 8th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Arts on the Avenue will be located in the Historic Cherokee Capitol Square in downtown Tahlequah. The event will feature an assortment of fine art on display including jewelry, paintings, pottery, wood carvings and sculptures, beadwork, baskets, and photography among others. A variety of Native American and non-Native American artists mostly from Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri will showcase their fine art. In addition, a delightful selection of Oklahoma wineries will be interspersed with the artist vendors so guests may enjoy the art while sampling an array of wines. Live entertainment will be performed throughout the event.
