Arts on the Avenue Tahlequah
Tahlequah, The City of Firsts presents the 8th annual Arts on the Avenue. Join us in the North End Entertainment District of downtown Tahlequah, Friday, September 30th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, October 1st from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday night will include a live musical performance, a reading by visiting and local writers at the NSU Jazz Lab, and an open exhibit at NSU’s gallery on Muskogee Ave.
Saturday will feature an assortment of art on display by regional visual artists, including artists creating work at the event and a kid’s tent with hands-on activities. There will be performances at multiple stages from area musicians and school groups. We will continue last year’s Voices from Ink, with readings and discussions of writing from a wide variety of authors.
Arts on the Avenue, held in conjunction with the OksWagen Festival, is brought to you by the Arts Council of Tahlequah, the Cherokee Nation, Tahlequah Main Street Association, and Northeastern State University.
All events are free and open to the public. We look forward to seeing you downtown celebrating and participating in the arts!
